Enterprise Risk Management – Is your business prepared?
The British Chamber Myanmar, in partnership with Exera, International SOS and Siward Newton have come together to hold a series of events around Enterprise Risk Management, identifying all the areas where businesses are under prepared and at risk from various threats.
Throughout the course of the year the series will cover the following topics of Disaster Preparedness and Business Continuity, Cyber Resilience in Myanmar, Developing and Delivering a Risk Culture, Protecting Your Most Important Asset : Your People and the final session will culminate in Experience a Crisis … A simulation exercise.
Disaster Preparedness and Business Continuity
Natural disaster such as floods, earthquakes and other extreme weather events happen all too regularly in Myanmar. Any occurrence, regardless of the severity, will have enormous impact on the economy and society, from the financial toll of business disruption to the tragic loss of human lives. As such event will inevitably happen time and again, local and global organisations have the responsibility to protect their workforce and assets.
What is needed? Thorough disaster training, access to information and robust mitigation and escalation planning.
This seminar will cover the most important aspects of natural disaster preparation and response, including the role of government and the diverse measures every company should take to minimize disruptions, keep their employees safe and ensure business continuity.
